Phuket Poster Poems

After our inspirational talk from Mrs van Elden, Mel and I decided to use the information from her talk to make poems to advertise Phuket. We gave the children an illustration of what we meant. And then we set to work!

We first revisited Mrs van Elden's talk and decided on the various categories that she had spoken about. From each category we then brainstormed rhyming words. It was a much more difficult exercise than we first imagined! The children found it difficult to understand the idea that the ending words had to rhyme but with lots of practice and help we managed to complete the poems in pairs. They then rewrote the poems and made posters. This was the end result!
