Poggy Frog and the cows stories

Mel and I were aware that Friday was Frog Awareness Day (or Leap Frog day as an article in Thurs Daily newspaper referred to it as)


 So our theme for the week centered around the book 'Poggy Frog and the Cows'. 

We read the book every day and as I explained earlier we introduced the concept of 'speech marks'. On Thursday we divided the class into groups of 4 and each child in the group had to write up a part of the story. We then stuck each section together to make a group booklet.

 It was a difficult task for some of them to understand as they wanted to write the whole story but eventually everyone got it AND I was a very proud teacher! Come in and read the stories ..... they are delightful.
