Orals Shaked, Vongai, Kyle Theolan

There was loads of excitement as we ended off our science experiment orals. I must admit I learnt a lot from the children!

Shaked had an amazing experiment. She used everyday ingredients and made a dish of vibrant dancing colours. Each child had a turn to se what happens when you put dishwashing liquid onto and ear bud and place it in a bowl of milk with food colouring in it!

Kyle showed us how to make a simple circuit. He explained everything beautiful and it was with great excitement when he switched on the switch and the light came on!

Vongai and Mrs Whillier had a similar idea in mind when they each did their experiment! Great minds think alike! She showed us that when we blow up a balloon we use carbon dioxide. As a result she made a mixture using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. The gas released was carbon dioxide which she used to blow up the balloon. A lovely explanation.

the rest ? a new way to blow up a balloon!

Theolan built a wonderful crane. He showed us that for everything action there is an opposite and equal reaction.
He demonstrated this in a very simple way

I'm not sure who is more sad that these orals are over ...... a really great term of orals Grade 2's
