Yesterday Mel and I had great fun making up Firework Poems. Firstly we show the classes video clips of fireworks exploding and asked them for words that reminded them of the fireworks. We worked on the two sense namely: sound and sight! They came up with amazing ideas. We then took them into a darkened room and they were all given the opportunity to light sparklers. Oh what a treat it was to see all their faces light up with excitement! After all the excitement we then wrote poems in pairs. We were delighted with their work. Here they are!
