Mel and I decided to end the term off in grand style......we had a sleepover at school in our classrooms! We thought that this would be an exciting way to end off our 'Aardvark who wasn't sure' theme. The children arrived at school with their sleeping bags, touches and mattresses and we arranged them in a circle on floor in our separate classrooms. Unfortunately it poured with rain so Mel and I had to quickly turn our ideas of playing 'nocturnal' outside games and telling campfire stories into an indoor adventure! This we managed to do as we had 8 stations each manned by our two respective family members (...thank you Bruce, Ali, Stu, Michael, Sarah, Sam , Josh.....) Each station had an activity relating to a chapter of the book! It was really great fun. We managed to have a braai and marshmallows before settling down to watch a movie and bed! The children were as good as gold and slept like angels! We were delighted to see the parents at 6am and before we knew it holidays had started!
