Egypt

Last week saw Mel and I flying off to Egypt. The children have got into the habit of leaving airports now ( they are such seasoned travellers!) and before they left they gathered in the VIP lounge to celebrate before leaving!

They had their passports stamped by a very official official!   .....

Just before landing they were shown a 'video' to inform them about all they would see in Egypt...

After disembarking they headed off to their bus to be accosted by vendors ( thank you Grade 4's!)
.......

Some of the children spent their money which they had changed at a 'Bureau de change'....... ( they were very sad when they realized it was just for fun and had to hand back their purchases!)

Mel and I had organised an activity where they made pyramids. This turned out to be a little more difficult than we had envisiged!

Each child was given a template which they cut out and shaped into a pyramid.

They were put into groups of 3 and they then made the three pyramids at Giza. This is the end result.
