Orals : Shriya and Connor : Aardvarks

As we had decided to use the novel 'The Aardvark who wasn't sure' as the basis for our theme this term, we asked the children each week to present an oral on the animal that Pim encounters. So Shriya and Connor were the first to present on Aardvarks and they did so BRILLIANTLY!

Shriya started off her oral in an unusual way ..... which immediately made the children wonder about her topic. Well done, Shriya!

She gave a very informative oral on the Aardvark which gave the children a good idea about Aardvark habits.

Connor also gave a wonderful presentation using a very different approach. He showed us how much a baby aardvark weighs by bringing weights which the children loved! They all had a turn to hold the weights! He also used a ruler to show how long it's tongue was!

I was so pleased to see that both children used key cards with only one or two pictures or words to help them remember their orals! Both children can be very proud of the way they presented their orals.
