Pupil of the day : Shriya

Today was Shriya turn to be pupil of the day and she arrived  looking beautiful wearing her own crown....

From the moment she showed us her packet which she told me she had worked on for hours ....

We were all entranced - she just had so much to tell us and share!

She told us all about her family. Her mother is an attorney and her father is a psychiatrist. She and her 5 year old brother (whom she referred to as 'her partner in crime' !) loved to play tricks on her parents. She told us some of their antics and the children laughed out loud.

She is lucky to be spoilt by her grannies whom she loves to garden with ..... I'm sure you learn a lot from them Shriya.

Her favourite colour is pink and she says that you would be blinded by it if you were to step into her bedroom. She also has two huskies whom she called 'escape artists'!

She is a well travelled little girl and she used the globe to show us all the places that she had been to : England, Sweden, UAE ,swimming in Seychelles, but her best and most scary experience was paragliding in Mauritius !
Her most favourite book is Nelson Mandela Long walk to freedom which she says I can keep and read to the class.

She has also 'inherited' her mum's old keyboard and goes to lessons after school. She played 'London Bridge is falling down' and with Amal's insistence the class sang along - it was just too sweet!

There was great excitement as she handed out some jelly and sweetmeats as a taste of her favourite food. It was delicious.....

Thank you Shriya for a wonderful oral that you took so much time and energy preparing. It really was a special day for us all.
